The Thames Valley District School Board 2006 Awards of Distinction ceremony was held on Thursday May 4, during Education Week, at the Education Centre. These awards honour Thames Valley District School Board employees, volunteers, parents, students, trustees and individuals who have made significant and positive contributions to the educational community, and who demonstrate the following Foundation Principles and other worthy attributes:

| Of the 80 nominees for this
award, seven were OSSTF District 11 members. All of the nominees and recipients were honoured at
the Awards Ceremony.
OSSTF recipients of the award are Gary Comfort, Steve Gedies, and Blake Smith (all pictured below with their award profiles). The following OSSTF members were also nominated: Susan Boddaert (Program Services), Diana D'Alessandro (South SS), Denise Kussner-Jajal (Clarke Road SS) and Al Lockhart (College Avenue SS).
