Lead Acid Battery Belt

12 Volt (170 Watt/hour) for semi/pro video and other uses

Battery Belt model LA1214

Ideal for economically powering 12 Volt lights for video & television or other devices (powers a 30 watt light for about 5 hours).

Features:

Absorbed glass mat (AGM) paste (not liquid) sealed lead acid battery belts for use by video & television producers, camera persons & others, to power 12 Volt DC lights, cameras, monitors, VCRs, audio mixers, etc., or to power 117 Volt AC devices using an inverter.

Substantially less expensive than nickel cadmium battery belts, with nearly as much life expectancy (when recharged shortly after use) & far more power (4X) for the money.

You can purchase two 14 Amp/hour sealed lead acid battery belts & one fast charger (which should last all day in most applications), for about the same price as one of our competitors 7 Amp/hour NiCad belts with slow charger (which may not get you through the day in some applications). Fast charge one of our sealed lead acid battery belts, while using the other & never run out of power. Ideal for News gathering, corporate, or Event type videography where an on camera sun gun light is needed frequently through the day.

Each battery is completely sealed (will not leak) & has a good looking heavy padded case for additional protection from heavy hits & for comfort.
Heavy duty 11 gauge power cable of 1 meters (over 3 feet), fitted with a professional 4 pin female XLR connectorSee photo. & fused for safety (spare fuse also included). Heavy duty cable means almost no Voltage drop across the cable on heavy loads, hence some devices don't turn off prematurely, you don't waste power heating up the cable & you get all the power the battery is capable of delivering.
Ability to fast charge or discharge up to 40% or more of their rated capacity (full recharge in about 3 hours with proper intelligent charger).
Not damaged by freezing. Operating temperature range -20C (-4F) to 50C (122F).
Low self discharge rate, 3% per month at 25C (77F).
No memory problem.
Adjustable waste belt with quick release clip fastenerSee photo. (see pictures of 14 & 20 Amp/hour belts below) & safety shoulder strap included (stored in pocket).

Battery belts currently available in 14 & 20 Amp/hour sizes (see pictures below) & shoulder carrying case batteries available in 7 & 10 Amp/hour sizes (using same case, but no waist belt).

14 Amp/hour (170 Watt/hour) belt $300. Canadian (weighs about 13.4 pounds or 6.095 kilograms) easily handles continuous loads of 43 Watts, ideally shouldn't be used for loads over 69 Watts & can be used for loads of 100 Watts (with slight decrease in battery life). Energy density of 27.9 Wh/Kg including case & belt

20 Amp/hour (240 Watt/hour) belt $400. Canadian (weighs about 17.2 pounds or 7.825 kilograms) easily handles continuous loads of 60 Watts, ideally shouldn't be used for loads over 100 Watts & can handle loads of about 150 Watts (with slight decrease in battery life). Energy density of 30.6 Wh/Kg including case & belt

7 Amp/hour (84 Watt/hour) shoulder pouch $160. Canadian (weighs 6.7 pounds or 3.047 kilograms) easily handles continuous loads of 21 Watts & ideally shouldn't be used for loads over 34 Watts.

10 Amp/hour (120 Watt/hour) shoulder pouch $200. Canadian (weighs 8.6 pounds or 3.912 kilograms) easily handles continuous loads of 30 Watts & ideally shouldn't be used for loads over 50 Watts. Other sizes upon request.

3 models of CHARGERS  Batteries may be purchased with or without either of the three models of battery chargers. Our recommended package is two battery belts for each charger.
