Notify the TVDSB with a letter (see
Sample
Letter #1 and Sample Letter #2) to the Executive Superintendent of
Human Resources stating your intent to retire to pension with
effective date; copy letter to the District 11 OSSTF Office. (Fax: 659-2421)
 | Include your home address and email address. |

If you are eligible for a
Retirement Gratuity under one of the predecessor boards, it is
important that you have a plan for dealing with this money because
there could be tax implications if this money is not handled properly.
OSSTF's wholly-owned subsidiary,
OTG Financial Inc. can
help walk you through your options. This is a
free, no obligation service - you do not already have to be a client of OTG. They are there to help!
Members who are due to receive gratuities at the end of this school
year/semester should contact an OTG representative before the cheque arrives. OTG can be reached at 1-800-263-9541.
