Instructions for the Branch Awards Representative

Please take note of the general information and eligibility/criteria for this award. The Working Copy (Resume of Nominee’s Special Contributions) can be handed out to individual staff members for their input. Once your committee has made a decision as to your nominee, then a final TYPED copy of the script (see sample scripts) must be submitted. Scripts may be e-mailed directly to the District Office, osstf11@execulink.com or faxed (659-2421) / Attention: Laurie Lafraniere or faxed to South Secondary School, 452-2879/ Attention: Val Cavalini. Due date is Monday, December 19, 2005.

At this point, we are only concerned with the branches (or Bargaining Units) selecting a nominee and providing a script. If this is a new award for you, we would encourage you to seek assistance from the staff member from your school who was responsible for the Bishop Townshend Award last year. Further information will come your way in regards to invitations extended to guests of the nominees and principals.

The Bishop Townshend Dinner has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at the Grosvenor Club in London. Once your nominee has been selected, please inform him/her and the principal of the date of the dinner. Invitations will be sent out early in the new year.
