NOMINATION PROCEDURE

Who May Nominate?

Any individual, or groups of individuals, may make an initial nomination.

Who May Be Nominated?

Any contract OSSTF member with a minimum of 5 years experience with Thames Valley District School Board may be nominated.

Nomination Criteria Suggestions

On the nomination form and on the brochure, a series of nomination criteria are included for the guidance of nominators. There are four main areas of contribution: the Social, the Physical, the Spiritual, and the Intellectual. Nominees should be selected for their contributions to education in these four areas.

How is the Branch Selection Panel Established?

The Branch President (or designate), as the Chairperson, will establish the selection panel and will ensure that an adequate number of teachers are chosen to serve with alternates in case a selected panel member is nominated for the award.

Each Branch and Bargaining Unit will select a candidate.

Procedures After a Branch Has Chosen Its Nominee

The name of the branch�s nominee is to be forwarded with the one page typed write-up by no later than Monday, December 19, 2005 to:
