Continuing Education Instructors' Bargaining Unit Issues

Non-Instructional Time (NIT) |
The
Board is adamant about NIT being used properly; see the Letter of
Understanding attached to the collective
agreement for details concerning NIT. People are losing NIT
for “non-performance” of duties. I see NIT as being a struggle
with next round of negotiations.

Leaves |
Leaves are being held to the letter of the collective agreement, and MUST be asked for at the proper times (Article 11.02). See Article 11 for all of the details concerning Leaves. |
