TVDSB Trustee Elections 2006

In order to evaluate each candidate’s position on the issues, the Committee prepared a questionnaire that was emailed/mailed to each declared candidate.  The candidates were requested to respond to the ten questions and then email/mail the complete survey to the District 11 Office by September 26th, 2006.  The candidates were informed in a cover letter that their responses would be posted on the District website as soon as possible.  The Committee's intent was to  provide members with access to pertinent information that will enable them to make informed choices on election day.

In addition to the survey, each candidate was invited to meet with the PAC committee to talk about his/her platform.  In the overall evaluation of candidates for endorsement, the Committee looked for candidates with a positive orientation to public education, who grasp the complexities of educational issues and are prepared to enact solutions to the issues facing TVDSB.
