Recipes for kids

Some adult help may be needed.

Please do not attempt to use appliances on your own.

If you see a above the recipe there is no cooking involved.

Dirt Cake

1 package cream filled chocolate cookies

1/4 cup softened margarine (room temperature)

8 ounce package cream cheese

1 cup confectioners sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

4 packages instant chocolate pudding (4 servings per box)

6 cups milk

4 1/3 cups frozen whipped topping

15 gummy worms

New flower pot ( cleaned and sterilized)

Put the cookies in the food processor or blender and process

till they become fine crumbs. Set aside

Put margarine, cream cheese, icing sugar and vanilla

flavoring in a bowl. Beat on low speed to mix, then

beat on medium speed until smooth.

Add the pudding powders and milk to the bowl. Beat on low.

Fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture with

a rubber spatula Assemble in the ungreased flower

pot in layers as follows.

1st layer: 1/3 cookie crumbs

2nd layer: 1/2 pudding mixture

3rd layer: 1/3 cookie crumbs

4th layer: 1/2 pudding mixture

5th layer: 1/3 cookie crumbs

Tuck the ends of the gummy worms in the cookie "dirt".

Store in the refridgerator.

Chill for 3 hours before serving.
Serve with a new toy shovel.

Yields 15. servings.

Berry Black Bees

1 package berry black gelatin ( 85g)

1 package vanilla instant pudding ( 4 serving size)

10 chocolate wafer cookies\par

Black shoestring licorice

Prepare jello according to package reducing

cold water to 1/2 a cup

pour into pan and chil until set. Prepare pudding as per

package reducing milk to 1 1/2 cups

Chill 5 minutes To make bees break gelatin into small pieces

using a fork.

Alternate gelatin and pudding in small plastic cups ending with

pudding layer.

Garnish with two chocolate wafer cookies for "wings"

and 2 pieces of black shoestring licorice for "antennae"

No cook play Dough

1 cup white flour

1/2 cup salt

2 tablespoons oil

Mix ingredients and add colored water a little at a time until the mixture

is the consistency of bread dough.

Edible Play Dough

2 cups flour

4 cups oatmeal

1 cup water

1 cup white corn syrup

1 cup peanut butter

1 1/4 cups non fat powdered milk

1 1/4 cups sifted confectioners sugar

Combine flour and oatmeal in a blender and grind together for 30 seconds.

Add 1 cup water and knead.Add corn syrup,peanut butter, powdered milk and sugar

Combine and knead well.Add more flour and/ or powdered milk if the dough

is too sticky to knead,.

Put out bowls of chocolate chips, sunflower seeds. and shelled peanuts for

the kids to decorate their creations and to make them taste better.
