Volume 4, Issue 2: December 12, 2005

United Way and Labour celebrate and honour volunteers for their outstanding contributions to the campaign with the Annual Labour Appreciation Dinner; this year's dinner was held at the Marconi Club on Thursday December 8. A wide variety of representatives from London and Middlesex employers and unions were present. Guests were treated to wonderful music played live by the Guitar Ensemble of H.B. Beal Secondary School and directed by Andrew Parr.

This year, OSSTF District 11 member Evelyn Daley was recognized for the great job she has done over the years.

Evelyn has been a tremendous asset to the campaign. She has been the Employee Campaign Coordinator at Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute for the past two years. In that time, she has grown the campaign from the 2003 level of $1,454, to $3,902 in 2004, to a whopping $7,005 in 2005!

She is enthusiastic, creative, energetic and truly supportive. Through her leadership, IDCI students have taken the award for greatest contributors in our student stair climb in 2004 and 2005. Beyond rallying the troops, both staff and students, at IDCI, Evelyn went even further by getting involved in teh allocation process and also volunteering to sit on one of the Citizen Review Panels.

Congratulations, Evelyn!

Let us not take thought for our separate interests, but let us help one another.
