New Resources from the Human Rights/Status of
Women Committee
By Bryan Smith, Chairperson, Human Rights / Status
of Women Committee |
|
All branch representatives in
attendance at the September Action Resource Launch Party went home with two
fabulous resources, Norman Silver's memoir of growing up white (therefore
privileged), Jewish (therefore excluded) and curious (therefore a threat to
the Aparthied Police) in South Africa entitled An Eye for Color;
and, Young Africa, an account that gives voice to young Africans
today. They add these to the Common Threads: Sweatshop Labour, the
Kielburger brothers' Take Action and other resources sent for your
use. |
