The challenge of trying to balance home and work can often feel like a losing battle. For many educators, it helps to know that they are not alone. The Educational Services Committee of District 11 OSSTF is presenting a Life Balance Workshop on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at the District Office. The workshop will be presented by Robin MacDonald from the Ontario Teachers’ Insurance Plan (OTIP).

The primary goal of OTIP’s Life Balance Workshop is to assist educators in re-evaluating their life balance. Robin will guide participants through a series of exercises designed to assess how their time is spent, determine changes that are needed to achieve and maintain balance, and set action plans to meet personal goals. The results - a more balanced and meaningful life!

This workshop is appropriate for educators at all stages in their career. Regardless of the whether they are new, mid-career or approaching retirement, this one-hour workshop will assist educators in finding or maintaining balance.

The workshop will be from 4:30-5:30 with a light meal and refreshments following the presentation. There is no cost for members.

To register for the Life Balance Workshop, please call Laurie at District Office (659-6588) to reserve your spot. The deadline for registration is Friday, October 21, 2005. Space is limited, so register early!
