The Thames Valley District School Board is accepting information on line to update its TVARRIS / Secondary Occasional Teacher records for the 2005/06 school year.

In accordance with Article 6.8 of the current Secondary Occasional Teacher Collective Agreement, we ask that you confirm your intent to remain as a Secondary Occasional Teacher for the 2005-2006 school year through the Employee Portal.

The form Occasional Teacher, Secondary is available for completion May 1 - June 30, 2005 (access at the Employee Portal > HRS Applications > Temp/Occasional Employee Canvass).

This form should also be used to request a leave of absence for the 2005-2006 school year as provided under Article 10.14 of the above-mentioned Agreement; OR to let us know if you do not wish to remain as a Secondary Occasional Teacher.

For your information we draw your attention to the guidelines found in the following Articles of your Collective Agreement:
1. Article 6.1 “Membership on the List”: Confirms responsibility of every occasional teacher to maintain “good standing” with the Ontario College of Teachers.
2. Article 6.5 “Member Information...”: Requests written notice of changes.
3. Article 6.9 “Removal from the List”: Recites the reasons an Occasional Teacher’s name shall be removed from the List.
