1. The Political Action Committee held its last meeting on Tue November 23rd, at Westminster S.S.

2. Provincial Issues:
2.1 Bill 82 (PLP legislation)
• bill has passed second reading but has been sent to Committee of the Whole

2.2 "Keep Your Promises" OFL Rally at Queen's Park
• occurred on Saturday November 27th
• two sets of posters were sent to worksites

2.3 Provincial PAC
• ongoing discussions of how best to communicate with members
• ideas on how to better utilize website and email are being explored

3. NDP Convention Updates
3.1 Joe Wilson and Patti Dalton attended and Irene Mathyssen was elected Ontario NDP Vice- President.....Congratulations!

3.2 Major topics of discussion included:
• P3 Hospitals
• Great Lakes water
• Decline in Unionization
• Broken Promises regarding labour laws

4. The committee discussed ideas that may help better inform members about political activities and at the same time discussed topics that may lead to increased attendance at PAC Meetings in the future.

5. Next Meeting Date: THURSDAY FEBRUARY 10TH, 2004 - 4:15 P.M. - OSSTF Office.
