1. Site Health & Safety Rep. Training
• training continues Dec 8th (a.m.) and Jan 12th (p.m.)

2. Teaching Joint H&S Committee:
2.1 The last meeting was held Wednesday November 24th at the Board Office.
• highlighted topics included discussions revolving around Aggressive Behaviour and Safe Schools
• a new sub-committee was created with the task of reviewing the current TVDSB Safe Schools policy (This committee has now met twice, and will bring recommendations forward early in the new year) This group will report back to the committee on areas related to Safe Schools that have implications for the Health & Safety committee
• Dave Russell is a member of this sub-committee.

2.2 OSSTF has been delegated the responsibility of providing Joint H&S members to conduct annual inspections at selected worksites. Dave and Nancy are working to produce a finalized list of schools, and in the meantime inspections are already taking place this school year.

2.3 H&S Level 1 Certification training must be provided to Joint H&S members within one (1) year of the person joining the committee. The Board is planning to carry out this training in January 2005.

3. District 11 Health & Safety Committee -status
• Joint H&S members are currently being polled for training and meeting ideas
• Bargaining Unit Presidents and Branch Presidents are being encouraged to forward names of Site Committee representatives to Dave at the District Office.

4. Next Teaching Joint H&S Meeting is Wednesday December 15th, 9-11 a.m.
