If you wish to nominate someone for the 2004 TVDSB Award of Distinction, you are fast running our of time. Nomination packages must be forwarded to the office of the Director of Education by 4:00pm on Friday March 5, 2004. The Thames Valley District School Board Awards of Distinction honour Thames Valley District School Board employees, volunteers, parents, students, trustees and individuals who have contributed at a system or school level. Nomination packages should include evidence of significant and positive contributions to the educational community, the primary criteria for the award. Candidates will be considered who demonstrate the following Foundation Principles and other worthy attributes:

District 11 OSSTF supports this initiative and has a representative on the Selection Committee. We encourage our members to consider the people around them at their various workplaces and to nominate individuals who exemplify the criteria above. The awards will be presented at the board meeting on Tuesday May 4, 2004. Nomination information and forms can be obtained at worksites and administrative offices as well as from the board website.
