Out of Province Medical Coverage
With the holiday season quickly approaching, we thought it would be beneficial to update you on your Out of Province Medical Coverage. ManuAssist is the out of province benefit provider for employees who are members of our group health plan. This plan provides coverage for emergency medical treatment for you and your covered dependents while travelling outside the province of Ontario. ManuAssist enhances this coverage by providing on-the-spot help in getting you through a medical or other travel emergency.
In the event of a medical emergency, it is extremely important that you contact ManuAssist either prior to or as soon as possible after being admitted to hospital. ManuAssist will guarantee your eligibility for coverage to the hospital. The ManuAssist 24-hour Emergency Hotline in Canada and the United States is 1-800-265-9977. In other countries please ask the operator to call collect (519) 741-8450.
