District President: Don RowdonSeason's Greetings |
![]() |

On behalf of all of the staff at
the District Office I wish all our members a happy and safe holiday
season. Whether you are spending time with family and friends, travelling
or just staying home, I encourage you to take time for yourself and to
relax and enjoy the break.
It is somewhat comforting to be entering 2004 with collective agreements in place and a new government at Queens Park. The extent to which the Liberal promises for educational change will be implemented remains to be seen, but at least there is a new atmosphere of respect for educational workers that hasn’t existed in the last eight years. This should allow us to come back in January refreshed and ready to again tackle the challenges of working with young people and adults who are returning to school. Again have a good holiday and thanks for all you do! |

On behalf of the
Continuing Education Instructors’ Executive, I would like to extend to
everyone best wishes for the holidays.
January will bring some changes to the ESL part of the bargaining unit, with implementation of the new Leads structure. Whether you are in a new position or workplace or not, I hope you have a good start to Term 3 when we return after the break. |

As you likely know by now, we have a tentative contract. I hope to see you at the General Meeting on Dec. 17 (see calendar above) where the details will be shared, but if I do not see you there, I hope you will have a happy and healthy holiday, and will come back ready for more occasional teaching adventures and positive experiences in the New Year, and, I hope, under the enhanced terms of a new contract! Happy Holidays! |

Professional Student Services Personnel Bargaining Unit: Sandra MillerHello from the PSSP President |
|
|||
I wanted to send a quick message to all PSSP members to wish each of you a safe and happy holiday season. It has been an exciting school year to date. I am hopeful that 2004 will bring a continued interest in union activities as your executive works on improving working conditions for all its members. Your executive is always looking for feedback and input into the matters that you feel are important. May 2004 find each of you well and re-energized following the well deserved break you need. I am looking forward to seeing you in the new year and continuing to represent PSSP. Thank you. |

Let us not take thought for our separate
interests, but let us help one another.
