Our Sheep
We are partial to hair breeds as they are quite healthy, easy to care for and require no shearing. Here in Canada we have a hair breed called Barbadoes. We have crossed some of them with a Dorper (Barb ewe pictured below with Barb x Dorper lambs). We currently have a flock of about 45 sheep and we breed sparingly.
We also have some woollies on the property - Shetland Sheep. Pictured below, on the right is Harmony, one of our Shetlands. They require annual shearing and the wool is gorgeous.
We have found these breeds to be great for herding training and trials
