1957 Singer 221K Featherweight

Decal Pattern: This machine has the 'Paper Clip' decals. They are in very good condition with only very minor imperfections.

Serial Number: The serial number of this machine is EM 598931. According to Singer, this machine was commissioned on August 2, 1957.

Voltage: The motor on this machine is the standard 110-120 volt motor, compatible with the North American electrical system.

Condition: The metal work on this machine is very bright and clean. There is some of the usual light pin scratching on the paint surface and a few tiny nicks in the flywheel. For the rest the finish is in good condition.

On one of the last pictures you can see some imperfections, some gold colouring, in the finish around the back side of the throat plate. It appears that the black japaning was not quite put on to the edge around the throat plate. However the clear coat finish was applied as it should have been.

Also note the little chip around the light switch. This chip is purely cosmetic and in no way affects the functioning of the light.

Case: The case is very solid with good hinges, latches and handle. It is the case with the small metal side tray. The latch on the right side has been replaced with an original Singer FW case latch and has been put on with tiny bolts and nuts.

This machine has been fully serviced and tested by a quilter.
A quilt block will be included with the machine.
The throat plate is marked making for handy quilt piecing.
