Qulliq.

An elder lights a qulliq, as some fascinated children look on.  Qulliq were traditionally used for cooking, light and heat.  They are made of stone, burn seal oil, and use arctic cotton as the wick.  These days, they are seen most often in a ceremonial role, are made of steel, and vegetable oil has replaced the seal.
