Culzean Castle, on the west coast of Scotland, viewed through the "ruined" gate.   The gate, is, in fact, exactly as it was designed, in order to give the castle an air of antiquity.   Originally spelled Cullean, and still pronounced that way, it was built in the late 16th century.
