I feel that music has been one of the most enjoyable hobbies I've pursued. It's been a blend of good times, great friends and excellent tunes and songs. Music has always been a part of my life. My mother's family (the Moores) loved to sing and trips to the relatives were made short with many a song in three part harmony. Now it is my father's family (the Harmers) that like to gather round the piano and sing the carols of Christmas.

I learned to play the highland bagpipes in my teen years with the Perth Regiment in Stratford. Many a good story and many a good time were part of that band. After a very long hiatus (about 30 years), I took up the pipes again to play with the Forest Legion Pipe Band. We may be a "march & drink band" but we're appreciated wherever we play. Again, I found great people with their own set of good times and fun stories.

Besides the pipe band, I've spent the last few years heavily involved with the London, Ontario Irish music scene. It must be the Moore in me but this is my favorite music. I play mostly piano and guitar accompaniment with a little whistle and Deger pipes thrown in to prove I can play melody on occasion. The sessions, the ceilis, the London Irish Folk Club and playing with the group Tullygarley are super musical and social experiences. The Tullygarley boys: Rob & Steve are excellent players and a joy with which to make music.

My personal roughly edited MP3 clip Mull of the Mountains (Deger pipes and synth) based on the Goderich Celtic College arrangement by Keith Easdale and Calasaig. Many thanks to Keith, Andy, Kirsten and the other Keith.
