Mozart and Lyric's Wedding
Now that your eye brows are raised wondering what kind of people have a wedding for their dogs allow us to explain. It all began when Justin was getting his first "birds and the bees" lesson when he was told that Mozart and Lyric were going to have puppies in the near future. In his struggle of understanding this concept he said that they would have to get married - quote: "they can't have puppies without being married". As parents we were not about to be responsible for shattering his belief that it isn't physically possible to have puppies (or children) outside of marrage. So, we took advantage of this situation to support Justin's traditional views, hoping that he would continue to believe such throughout his growing up years.
The September ceremony was a quiet affair in the backyard of the Jutzi's Parkhill home. It was a balmy Sunday afternoon. In attendance were: Grandpa and Grandma von Gunten, Aunt Kathi and Uncle Greg, Jenny and Warren Jutzi along with their sons Justin and Caleb. Mo looked studly in his black and white tie, and Lyric beautiful with a bouquet of purple fall flowers around her neck. Justin was the best man, and Kathi was the maid of honour. Caleb provided the entertainment. Pastor Neill von Gunten performed the ceremony along with a brief message on the purity of marriage. Justin Jutzi, Jenny Jutzi and Kathi Wiebe were the official witnesses.
