Henry Morgentaler's comments concerning the recent bombing of his abortion clinic need a reply.
His statement that "this is a sign of the moral bankruptcy of the so-called pro-life movement", insinuates the whole movement is in favour of the criminal actions of a few. As a director of the St. Thomas Right to Life association I can say we are not at all in support of this type or any type of violence or civil disobedience.
He also stated that the pro-life movement "cannot act by democratic means" seems odd coming from someone who has consistently and defiantly flouted the dmeocratic laws of this nation.
He speaks of our movement's moral bankruptcy. Who is he to speak about morality, about knowing what's right and wrong, especially in his line of business.
The abortion issue just proved the Bible is true. Jeremiah 17:9 says "the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked." Even Jesus said in Mark 7 "that out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, deceit, wickedness, murders..." Man has gone astray from the womb and loves darkness rather than light. Jesus said a man who thinks he knows anything, knows nothing, as he ought, and the wisdom of the world is but foolishness with God. Henry Morgantaler's statements and position just prove the Bible to be true, that man is lost and needs a Saviour. Men like him need to be pitied and prayed for that God perhaps will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth. God turned the heart of Saul and made him one of the greatest blessings to the church. He can do likewise for Henry.
