Tim Campbell: Genealogist

"Genealogy is the study of families in genetic and historical context. It is the study of communities in which kinship networks weave the fabric of economic, political and social life. It is the study of family structures and the changing roles of men, women and children in diverse cultures. It is biography, reconstructing each human life across place and time. Genealogy is the story of who we are and how we came to be as individuals and societies." 1

I like to talk about dead people. I like to talk to other people about dead people. I like to help people learn about dead people. OK, that may be over-simplifying things.

I have learned a lot about myself by studying where I came from: learning about the people who contributed to my DNA. Along the way I have met a lot of people. What I have found is a community of people who are passionate about their pursuit and share what they know with others. As a community we grow when we share.

Check out the links to the left to see what I have to offer. Or hang out on some of the genealogy forums on the net and take part in wonderful conversations.

My latest venture is in publishing. It is imperative that research gets published before we lose it and I have offer an avenue to help you.

Enjoy my site. Please feel free to contact me if you have any comments or questions.
