I added this section just to show off the fresh paint and the trail scars that made it necessary to give the rig a facelift.  generally I wouldn't recommend painting and detailing a trail rig but this one is the daily driver for a corporate manager ...me.  The truck was scheduled for paint due to the accessive cancer from the heavy salt used on roads up here during winter.  I decided to do one last trail run before the truck went in.... and got a little carried away... hence the new front fenders or I am sure the quote I got would have been in-valid!  I dented the tailgate in two places, dented the right fender, tore the left fender, dented the left 1/4 panel and cracked a taillight.... I guess I got a little carried away gnment.
So I sent the truck in for $2800.00 worth of paint and sheet metal work.  After discussing options with the body shop we decided to go with a urethane paint to help deal with the scratches and so far so good.. Before I sent the truck in I removed both bumpers and all the trim to assure the best coverage and to also get a little more for my money.   I went without a truck for nearly 2 weeks and then, finally, I got the call to pick it up.  In all honesty I dont expect the paint to remain glossy for very long but I did manage to curb the rust... for a while anyways.  I think when the time comes for more body work I will be purchasing complete rear 1/4's from Toyota; Yes they are expensive, but that should stop the rust in its tracks.  Oh and in case you didn't notice I also installed fender flares to keep mud and rocks down... at least

BP... before paint :-)  the pic above shows the new fender and the others some of the trail damage

Aint she purty!!  This was right before I busted a rear spring and had to limp home
