Earning a Living

During the very good weather for raspberries during the 2004 season, a total of 14,000 pints of raspberries were picked from the 1.5 hectares (3½ acres) of mature berries.

Income in a normal season is potentially $10,000 per hectare or $4,000 per acre of mature berries.

In a normal season, a person with 9 hectares (20 acres) of mature raspberries could make a good living.

This is a viable farm operation.
