Recently, Alison spoke to a group of students at Glencoe High
School, Glencoe, Ontario, about graphic novels and self-publishing.
With the appeal of graphic novels broadening, many teachers are
looking to the sequential arts as another way to inspire their students to
read more. To this end, the teachers have developed a curricullum
using graphic novels that requires the students to create their
own illustrated stories.
