SillWill Press is the name of the business founded by Alison Williams when she decided to self-publish her fantasy-adventure comic The Sorcerer's Children. Trained in illustration at Sheridan College, Alison worked on a variety of freelance projects before signing on with a small, Toronto-based comic company to produce the original graphic novel Magicians' Village. Though the connection did not last, it did give Alison the experience to try her own hand at this crazy business! Thus in 1998 SillWill Press was born! Since then, Alison has received much acclaim from many of the people--professionals, fans, retailers, and others--who have seen her varied work. She also been nominated for the Best New Artist of 1999 by the Friends of Lulu organization.
In addition to SillWill Press is brother and business partner and editor A.Jaye Williams. A.Jaye is a successful freelance writer who has written articles for Parsec Magazine, which included interviews with executive producers Donald P. Bellisario and Robert Halmi, Sr., actors Alice Krige, Marc Singer, Monika Schnarre, Daniel Goddard, Marjean Holden, Jackson Raine and others, and comic book personalities Phil Jimenez and Marv Wolfman. For WizardWorld.com, he's interviewed Walter Simonson, J. M. Dematteis, fantasy sculptor Clayburn Moore, and others. He's also written fitness articles for MuscleMag International and American Health and Fitness.
