Jack O' The Green: Also known as The Green Man and The Lord Of The Forest. The origins of Jack O' The Green are shrouded in mystery. His contact with other people has been limited and not always friendly when it did occur. As a result descriptions of his appearance and behaviour are extremely varied. He operates as a Protector of the Forest; ensuring its resources are not exploited or despoiled. There is a theory that purports Jack is not one person but many; a new Forest Lord assuming the role when it becomes necessary.

The "present" Jack is an imposing figure, powerful and enigmatic. It is apparent he has had a confrontation with Graidon that left him psychically injured. He was left confused, suffering from partial amnesia as well as other physical injuries. Jack is still a very powerful opponent and his example of fortitude and courage make him an excellent mentor to Morwyn, Brenna, Devin and Kedric.
