Aywyl:
A Master Sorcerer. He was one of the first to master the chaotic "Wid
Magics", a side effect of which he became imbued with its own energy.
Legend presents conflicting descriptions of Aywyl; at once both stern
and warm-hearted, fierce and compassionate. He did prefer a somewhat
isolated life with his family, far away from the bustle of city life.
However, a slim
volume of love poetry, presumably written to his wife Kerys, still exists
in the Royal Library at Saileigh. Passionate and tender the poetry reveals
unexpected facets to the enigmatic sorcerer's character. Still, all
of Aywyl's power was not enough to save him from the betrayal that arose
from within his own family. In most every artistic representations of
him, Aywyl is depicted weeping the two magical tears his murdering son
Graidon and so many others have sought for centuries.
