Sir Arawn: Knight of the Order of the Star, Seneschal to the Royal Household, Spy Master to the King. A coolly, logical and loyal servant to the throne, Sir Arawn has served as the Spy Master for many, successful years. He was trained for the position by his patron and mentor, Sir Elmynar. An orphan of indeterminate parentage, it was Elmynar who raised and educated him but Arawn's background made his rise in status a struggle of class and prejudice.

The unsolved murder of Prince Adair has rankled with Arawn but he has had many other duties to distract him from pursuing the matter. Due to his diligence, eighteen assassination attempts (not all of which were the results of Graidon's schemes) of the Royal Family were thwarted.

However, when Devin and friends arrived at court, Arawn quietly supported Devin's investigation of Adair's murder.
