Legend describes Aneurin as a popular, witty and charming person most known for founding the Bardic College and for his support of Aleric's kingship. He is also known for disappearing when he left the Royal court to pursue his own personal quest for the Tears of Aywyl.

Unknown to anyone, guided by a stranger he took as his apprentice, and with the help of the World Tree, Aneurin discovered the hiding place of Breya and Eira, faerie guardians of the Tears of Aywyl. The two faeries took a very amorous liking to the handsome sorcerer and Aneurin soon found himseld the father of two daughters, Brenna and Morwyn.

However, on his daughters' naming day Graidon attacked; killing both Breya and Eira. This was after the faeries had placed a magical Tear within each of their daughters. Aneurin fled and placed his daughters in the care of Nerine, a water faerie. His current whereabouts are unknown.
