Middle Grand River Chapter

Conserving, Protecting and Restoring freshwater ecosystems

The Gazette is the chapter newsletter published several times a year.

This project includes  the collection of  information and preparation of a conservation plan for Falkland Creek. This work will serve as a pilot project and establish the  methodology for similar streams in the lower Nith River             watershed.

The chapter organizes cleanup days during the year. See the calendar for dates and locations

Rest Acres Creek is a small coldwater tributary in the Grand River watershed.  It is located in the Apps Mill Conservation area natural area managed by the Grand River Conservation Authority.

The dam at the mouth of Whiteman’s Creek had not been functional for some time, was in a poor state of repair and was a barrier to fish movement
