1. DISMOUNTS ( Clarification of the 4th point under Dismounts)

- Front Flips into cradles from shoulder level require 2 catchers

- Back flips into cradles from shoulder level require 2 catchers PLUS a catcher for the head/neck (third). This applies to double based skills as well as two person partner stunts.

2. PYRAMIDS

- Free flipping mounts will NOT be permitted.

3. TOSSES (Basket, sponge, elevator

- Flipping Tosses are limited to 1 flipping rotation and 2 twists.

* do not confuse this with the current UCA/NCA collegiate limit of 2 skills or tricks within the toss. ie. Layout Full, X-out, Full is LEGAL at PCA events

F.A.Q's. We will update this section as questions come in.

Q. How many catchers are required for a front 3/4 roll/flip dismount from the top of a 2-2-1 pyramid?

A. - Two.

The new USASF regulations for level 6 state that 2 catchers plus a head spot. We missed this when the rules were updated on our web site back in September. Thus, we will permit 2 catchers (as in previous years) but recommend using 3. Please make sure you have a third in there if you compete at other events this year.

Q. How many catchers are required for a basket ot toss that travels from one group to another?

A. - Three.

Yes, this is new for 05-06. Note that traditionally, companies that permitted group to group tosses (with or without front 3/4 flip), aloowed them to be caught by just 2 (stationary) catchers. All group to group tosses were removed LAST year, but were brought back now with the addition of the 3rd or head spotter/catcher.

NOTE: we fully realise that it is sometime tough to get a head spot in on a 3/4 front flipping basket to basket catch. Please do your best, to position the "third" in such a manner that he/she can make decent contact with the top person. Judges do not expect a deep "scoop" but you should endeavour to make solid contact with the incoming flyer.

Q. Can tops/flyers be tossed (basket, sponge, thigh pop etc), from one group to another?

A. - YES

- see point 4 of the Tosses category for specific catch rules and twist/flip regulations

Q. Can you toss a top (free flight) over a pyramid or a stunt?

A. -NO

3. Do the same (collegiate) rules apply to the partner stunt and Quad group competition?

A. -YES.

- note that this will preclude a partner pair from doing a back flipping dismount as per the 3 catcher rule.

Q. How much can the "spotter" help on a stunt? (in a pairs partner stunt competition)

- He/She can assist on catches but are not to assist in lifting, twisting, bracing or stabilizing stunts. If the spotter inadvertently applies "too much" assistance, the stunt will be down graded or not counted at all at the discretion of the judges.

Q. Can a top/flyer double twist off of the top of a 2.5 high pyramid?

A. - Yes, if it is a forward facing 2-1-1 Liberty, stretch, extension.

- see point 2 of the "Dismounts" Section.
