
Solo Cheer Athlete Competition
Four Divisions - All Compete on Sunday Morning
Youth - Junior - Senior Female - Senior Male
Maximum time allowed: 60 seconds (no min.)
Level 5 Skills (running tumbling and standing tumbling) are permitted (for ALL age categories) as per USASF/NACCC and PCA rules
Scoring: 10 marks for Content, 10 marks for Execution, 10 marks for Performance Skills
Format: 1 minute max time (please feel free to go shorter than that). Individuals will be scored on the skills displayed (Standing tumbling, running tumbling, jumps, motions, dance) and the presentation of the material (choreography, confidence, projection, facial expression, energy, entertainment value)
Mandatory Skills Required: ALL Participant Power of ONE athletes MUST include:
1. A minimum tumbling pass with a round-off, handspring tuck*
2. A jump-handspring or jump-tuck combination**
Cheer or Not to Cheer...?
There will not be a specific "score" for cheer inclusion and individuals are welcome to include one or not. There will be no advantage or disadvantage one way or the other.
Notes re. mandatory elements
* Layout, pike, step out, full etc. are all OK in place of the tuck. Any number of handsprings, whips, may preceed or follow the flip.
** Double toe-backs, Pike backs, toe-touch-fronts etc are all fair game.
