This unique event features the collegiate cheer teams from western Canada and is in year three of a three year cycle rotating sites around the west.

BoW-1 one was held in Edmonton, home to two new teams at the University of Alberta and the host school Grant MacEwan CC. The 2003 went over to Vancouver the home of Simon Fraser University and UBC.

The 2004 Best of the West is hosted at the home of the longest running western Canadian collegiate squad - the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. 2005 will be in Calgary at S.A.I.T.
