LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Orchestra supporters should vote for arts, too

The people of London have voted for Orchestra London with their chequebooks.

Our political representatives, having looked after a new football stadium, a new rink and a redesign of the ball park, are now frantically working to ensure the ice-time of our population by considering a new four-pad rink facility.

One can only hope the same generous folk who have stepped forward to save our orchestra will step up to the ballot box later this year to support candidates who will be as active, creative and excited about promoting a first class performing centre for the fine arts.
