Ray of hope for troubled Thunder Bay Symphony

BOB STEELE - The Arts Report

WINDSOR, Ont - There's a ray of hope for the troubled Thunder Bay Symphony orchestra. The orchestra is bankrupt and it's been trying to get its creditors to accept a debt re-structuring.

However, the orchestra's major creditor, none other than Revenue Canada, has been standing tough. The orchestra has responded with a new plan and this time Revenue Canada says it will co-operate.

So far, details of the new plan have not been released. The Thunder Bay Symphony's other creditors are arranging to vote on the new offer.
