Financially-troubled Thunder Bay Symphony on its way to recovery BOB STEELE - The Arts Report WINDSOR, Ont - Good news for the financially troubled Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. A proposal to restructure its debt got court approval yesterday. It was the second proposal put forward by the Symphony Association. The first was rejected by the symphony's creditor. That forced the organization to the brink of bankruptcy. The symphony board has also received written word that all its gaming privileges have been reinstated. That means the symphony can again raise money through bingo sponsorships. The orchestra's general manager, Sandy Lychwood, says the symphony will proceed in presenting its upcoming season.
