Mr. W. Murphy, Dear Bill: This is to inform you that your request of the contracted musicians of OLC to recommend the London Musicians' Association, Local 279 A.F. of M., open the OLC master agreement to allow financial concessions totaling $30,000 was rejected at a players meeting today. There was, however, a very strong commitment expressed by all present to actively participate in finding alternative solutions. Although no formal proposals were presented at today's meeting, some ideas were expressed that may be worthy of further consideration. I look forward to discussing these with you as soon as more details become known. Both the players and their Union intend to continue the dialogue in a sincere effort to help establish a healthy financial picture for our Orchestra London.
