Code of Conduct
- Absolutely no walking in shoes or boots on trails, and no dogs.
- Follow in the specified direction and observe the signs.
- Respect the skiing techniques for the trail you are using - i.e. no classic skiing on skate-groomed trails and vice versa.
- Keep to your left when passing other skiers.
- Yield the way to more rapid skiers.
- No damage to trees, shrubs, etc.
- Do not block the trails or stop where you could be in the way of other skiers, especially at the bottom of hills.
- Ski within your abilities, in particular on downhill segments.
- Do not ski when the snow is soft and you create deep ruts. This applies when the temperature is above freezing and after rain (and until the temperature drops below freezing for about 12 hours). These type of ruts can be nearly impossible to groom out and can make skiing difficult for others.
- It is ok to ski on new, fresh powder snow before grooming.
- The general direction of travel around the trails is clockwise - but watch for arrows also and look at the trail map.
