The Children's Memorial Service is offered each year during the holiday season to honour the memory of our children who have died. The 2008 service will be held Wednesday, December 3rd at 7:00pm at Guelph General Hospital.

For 2005-2010, the theme of the memorial service is Feng Shui. 2005 was the year of wood, and 2006 was the year of fire.

The Journey - Mural

2004 was our 15th Annual Memorial Service. Commemorating this event was the completion of a painted mural which began in 1999 , inspired by a local artist, RobinTaylor.

For each year, of the Journey Mural, bereaved parents have gathered, adding symbols of trees, stars, flowers, birds and butterflies to the mural entitled “The Journey”. The mural depicts the 4 seasons in five suspended canvases: beginning with a fall Scene, followed by winter, spring, summer and returning to fall.  Each canvas symbolizes the journey on which we have all traveled when dealing with the emotions brought about by the death of a child.

This mural hangs proudly in the chapel at the Guelph General Hospital and is viewed by many visitors as being tranquil and inspiring. The inspiration of the mural has since been given “life” through the “ Journey Garden”, which was planted by group members in the spring of 2004 on the Delhi St. side of the hospital.
