Restoration ABCs
Try changing the channels!
XThe refurbishing process starts with a complete disassembly of all the mixers components. Every piece is inspected. Only those machines that have no mechanical damage are restored. Machines that show mechanical wear are stripped for parts.
XEvery nut and bolt is meticulously cleaned. Tarnish, oils, dust, dirt and grime are removed.
XThe old enamel paint is stripped and the surface prepared for painting using a multi-stage process. The final coating is a 2 part, food-safe, durable finish that matches the look of the original without giving that "over-restored" look.
XThe armature is reground and polished to remove scoring and wear. This ensures proper contact with the brushes and smooth electrical transfer.
XElectrical components are checked and replaced as needed. Since power cords wear out and become brittle with age, they are replaced. A good looking power cord can hide brittle internal insulation. Safety first...always!
XAll bearings are oiled and regreased. The gearcase is repacked with fresh, high-quality, high-temperature bearing grease.
XAfter final assembly, a full run-in is performed to ensure reliability and the speed is calibrated. Only then is a new logo applied.
XOur logos are perfect matches to the originals. Our screen printing operation ensures each detail is duplicated using water-proof, fade resistant printers inks. We have logos for each and every model of mixer. If we don't have yours...we'll make it!
