Right is the Mixmaster 5B-1. This variation introduced changes to the stand that would become standard on the Mixmaster 7. Specifically, the shape of the post that supports the revolving platform was tapered to ease insertion into the base. On prior Mixmasters, it was cylindrical. Note the chrome revolving platform.
