OPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION

PURPOSE

The foundation was organized in 1988, and its purposes are:

To receive and maintain funds to operate programs and activities for youth in Canada, such as:

HOW IS MONEY USED

During the Foundation's first two years, more than $50,000 has been given for scholarships for young people who have competed in and won public speaking and writing competitions through our Oratorical and Essay Contests.

In the future, the plan is to give more funding to other similar programs that benefit girls and boys. We also fund leadership training contests for youth.

WHERE TO DONATE

Gifts may be made directly to OIF of Canada, or by using wills, codicils or insurance policies. Gifts may be made anonymous and accepted in memory of friends or family members. The donations are tax dectuctible (Registration Number 0825604-29).
