  • During my 10 year NHL career, I averaged about 57 goals per season. I also hold the NHL record of nine consecutive 50-goal seasons.

  • In my first season I scored 53 goals and captured the Calder Trophy as the league's rookie of the year.

  • I was only the second player ever (Maurice Richard did it in 1945) to accomplish the feat to score 50 goals in as many games.

  • I'm also the only player in NHL history to record Cup winning goals in consecutive seasons.

  • Over my NHL career, I scored 573 goals along with 553 assists for 1,126 points in 752 regular season games. I was the first Islander to hit career scoring marks of 500 goals and 1,000 points. I also had 85 goals and 160 points in 129 playoff games.
