  • I played my minor hockey in Burnaby, British Columbia, before going on to play junior hockey in the BCJHL at the age of 15. I then played my first year of major junior hockey in 1976-77 with Kamloops of the Western Hockey League before playing my second and final year in the WHL with Seattle.

  • Washington Capitals selected me second overall in the 1978 Amateur Draft.

  • I was named the Bud/Light NHL Man of the Year in 1991-92.
