ACCOMMODATIONS
The Andros Island Bonefish Club has long been recognized as one of the premier bonefishing lodes in the Bahamas. AIBC takes you away from the distractions of everyday life and places you within a fly cast of some of the best fishing in the world. The lodge stretches over a quarter of a mile and outside each room there is a great view of the ocean. All twenty-nine rooms are clean, comfortable and air conditioned. Each comes with a private bath, a personal refrigerator and a ceiling fan. The rooms are modestly decorated to make room for all of your tackle and belongings. Single, double and even two triple rooms are available to better accommodate guest needs. Daily housekeeping and laundry service are provided. In May of 2003 Captain Rupert Leadon announced the acquisition and merger with AIBC's neighbor, Creekside Lodge (formerly Cargill Creek Lodge). With this addition AIBC has some great amenities that really do enhance the overall experience. The freshwater pool is a great bonus and guests will enjoy the satellite television and full service bar, with the indoor lounge adjoining the dining room. The bonefishing mecca of Andros Island and the superb hospitality at AIBC come together in a tropical paradise. A place where you can fish the seemingly endless flats, relax in a shaded hammock and absorb the beauty that surrounds you.

THE FISHING
At AIBC, the fishing can be done from the boat where mobility and visibility are optimal, or by wading hard flats and white sand beaches in order to stalk and isolate the fish. Numerous such places like Pretty Creek, Yellow Cay and Land of the Giants, dot the North Andros landscape. These names speak for themselves when considering the many flats, bights, creeks and cays Andros Island has to offer. The myriad of creeks, bays, mangrove estuaries, and back tidal lakes, makes AIBC a great place to spend a week fishing. But, a week is never enough! The occasional and elusive permit and the resident tarpon found cruising the deeper creeks on the west side attract many serious anglers to the lodge. Barracuda are also available and can be found on the flats most of the year. Jacks, snappers and sharks are often encountered on the flats while you're stalking bonefish, permit, or tarpon. Having a rod rigged and ready to cast will greatly increase your chances of hooking these fish. With the Great Barrier Reef of Andros only half a mile from the lodge, guests can explore the possibilities the deep blue water has to offer. Beyond the reef lies the Tongue of the Ocean, a deep drop-off which harbors big game, including blue marlin, sailfish, dolphin, wahoo, king fish, mackerel, tuna, snapper and grouper. Probably the most prolific offshore species is the dolphin or dorado which can be caught on light tackle and with flies.

Early Summer (May and June) - Bonefish, tarpon and barracuda are plentiful. Winds are calmer and afternoon rain showers are possible.

BOATS AND EQUIPMENT
Our anglers fish from 16-18ft modern flats skiffs, complete with poling platforms, 90-140hp Yamaha outboards and spacious casting decks. They are roomy, fast and comfortable.

GETTING THERE
Continental Connection has flight from Ft. Lauderdale into Andros Town on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Guests can also fly by chartered plane from the South Florida area (Miami or Fort Lauderdale) directly to Andros Tow or fly to Nassau and then catch one of the two daily flights on Western Air up to Andros Town Airport. If you do end up flying through Nassau, please be aware that Nassau's International Airport is divided into two sections: the Domestic Terminal and the International Terminal. They are located in different buildings and you have to go outside the International terminal (where you'll arrive) to make your connecting Domestic flight. Don't worry, the airport staff are used to dealing with the confusion and most any baggage handler or security personal will be happy to point the way. Just remember, you must clear Bahamas Customs with your luggage in Nassau before you make your connection or your luggage won't make it. A waiting taxi will pick you up and take you directly to the lodge.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
For American, Canadian and EU members, a valid passport good for 6 months AFTER the trip has been completed is required. Please note that the Bahamian Government is very strict about the 6 month stipulation and they've been known to turn anglers away who don't have sufficient time left on their passport.
