(repeat as necessary) this will make alucard slide down a pixel of the screen eventually after many HR's you will be into the floor or below the door. stop HR'ing and you will land in the next rooms floor. *note* when falling into hole in the floor using the dive kick and then a chain of HR's will make alucard fall faster we call this DKDHR (dive kick double heart refresh) Double Jump Double Heart Refresh (DJDHR) By jumping and then jumping again and starting a Dhr chain you can slowly creep up the screen to the hight of the 2nd jump. This enables you to aquire some of the upper ceiling rooms. You can also use this with a gravity jump and then Jump+ DHR chain for them higher rooms. Double Heart Refresh Jump (DHRJ) Use a jump or a grav jump and at its peak press HR+jump together and start the DHR chain while continuing to hold jump. This will move you up as you DHR. Use this for 11HR's then hold mist to get over barriers in the ceilings in the clocktowers. Wing smash Heart Refresh (WSHR) When under a room and the bottom corner of it you can get the side of the room on your map by wing smashing against the wall and hold up so it arcs up. As the Wing smash ends slam the Heart refresh and hold to that side to get the side room revealed. Sword Brothers glitch (SB) From the confession room go left, you will see a white corridor stand near this corridor and do the sword brothers spell. As the sword starts to spin with the aura around it turn into bat and fly into the corridor. You will end up flying outside the corridor and outside the castle. Clock Tower Glitch -Regular Castle- Open up the secret room in the clock tower with the gears. Walk into the secret room and make sure you have a AXE subweapon. Walk out of the room and stop right in the doorway. Jump up and toss an axe It will hit the gear, thus closing the door on you, pushing you down to the floor below the room. Clock Tower Glitch -Inverted Castle- Hit all the correct gears except for the one just below the secret room. Equip a dark shield or a Medusa Shield and have a power of sire equipped in the other hand. Stand in front of the secret room door and hold out your shield to kill any medusa heads that may hit you. Hold right and repeadly slam on the power of sire. The first one hits the gear 4 times, the 2nd one hits it 4 times opening it as you walk into the room, the 3rd power of sire closes the door behind you. Wolf Glitch (WG) Run while in wolf form towards a slope or stairway make sure your at top speed (takes approx 3/4 of a screen or more), the instant before you hit the bottom of the slope quickly tap jump then revert to alucard by pressing the wolf button again. If done correctly you will appear under the slope in alucard form. Press the wolf button to turn to wolf and fall to the bottom of the screen. Turn back to alucard to regain control of him. Have patience it takes a lot of time to get this trick to work. The bigger the slope the easier it is. ------------------- ADVANCED TECHNIQUES ------------------- ********************* SCREEN SHIFTING TECHS ********************* Edge Travel (ET) (Founded by Bug7139) Edge travel tech allows you to shift the screen over a little and give alucard a space to fly up or down the side of a doorway. There is no visual evidence that there is a space to fly in, but once in this space you can fly up or down you can even jump down if done correctly. You need a room that is at least 2 squares wide and the screen can scroll back and forth. Stand near the doorway and walk backwards or slide back so that you have scrolled the doorway off your screen about 1-2 inches. Turn Alucard around so that his back faces the doorway (which is offscreen by now) Press the backdash button to slide towards the doorway and use a HR as you start to slide. Do 10x HR's and then let go. You will see the screen shift and center on alucard, or at least move to the far edge. Walk towards the doorway and turn into bat. Inch yourself closer and closer into the doorway, once far enough into the doorway you can move the bat up or down the side of the screen. Move up to get onto the ceilings. Once on the ceiling you are still stuck in the "shift line" to get out of this line you need to either move over to the next screen or if you are in a corner press against the corner twice. Once freely on the ceiling use the other techs to gain your rooms. Also note that this same tech can be done by using a divekick in the air and using 10 HR's to shift the screen that way. Wall Grab (Founded by Morgoth) This tech allows you to shift the screen and at the same time appear at the edge of the screen already in the "shift line." You can either catch the wall with mist or just let alucard fall to the floor, all depends on where you are and how many HR's you used. This tech allows you to get the rooms around shafts area and in the clocktower upper room, and also a couple in the Necro lab. Stand up against the wall you want to shift through. Dash back 3 times or so to make the wall 1-2 inches off your screen. Turn around and dashback and HR for a chain of 40-45 heart refreshes. 45 HR's will get you past the screen and into the wall but you wont be able to use mist to grab the wall. But if the floor below you is empty with no rooms below it you will be right into the wall and the "shift line" is open. Just turn into bat and fly up. If you used the 40 HR's, Alucard will be 1-2 HR's from leaving the screen. From this point if you hold mist you will shift the screen and grab the side of the room and can fly up and onto the ceiling (necro lab/olrox quarters ceiling rooms) The olrox zombie hallway is an exception to the wall rule where you need to end your 40th HR just to the left of the hole in the floor, you will still be pushed into the wall and can hold mist to grab the side and fly up. Extended Wall Grab (EWG) This tech is very much like the regular wall grab but with a neat twist. The ablility to skip over a room or to the side of a room. its difficult to under- stand but i will try to explain it. First off you need to have a room that is at least 2 rooms long. Test this in the IC mines just under the save room. I will use this place to explain the method. First stand near the doorway and look at the left side of your screen. Take note where the LEFT edge of the screen is. Now walk to the left and align the RIGHT side of your screen with the spot you noted. Your screen is now exactly 1 exact room from the doorway. Turn around start the wall grab. but instead of the normal 40HR's you are now doing 90HR's. Once you do the last HR hold towards the door and hold the mist button. You will see the mist fly into the wall just like the normal wall grab. Fly up the side of the wall towards the top of the room so that you are higher in the room just not to high that you enter the save room and mess up the whole tech. If you press right and move into the next room you will appear on the far right wall. You will need to revert to alucard very fast and start Hr's as fast as you can do that you get the 2 rooms here that you can only get with this method. The Problem with this tech seems to be that each area where you need to do the tech is different after you are actually in the wall with the room "extension" in the games memory. The lab area actually has another room possible if you can get the initial HR off high enough and can start a JDHR in the new room. I have been unable to get this room yet but there are others who have got it. The Rooms in olrox/deathwings lair that use this method are also different a little where you are not getting a side room but a ceiling so you need to use a axelord armor switch to gain and jump and jump before you switch screens so that alucard is moving upwards when you switch screens so you can HR on the way up into the ceiling. Lastly is the catacombs place to do this. To get on top of the save room at the beginning of the catacombs you need to start under the CDLR for the EWG tech. Once in the wall at the doorway you need to turn to bat and move up 3 times so you are right under the ceiling. From here turn to alucard and do a diagional Gravity jump to the left and once the screen switches to the new room you need to hit the bat button to catch the ceiling. Its very hard as ive still yet to land this one too. This is the hardest tech in the game and also the longest. The initial 90 HR's takes about 8 minutes to complete. Bat Up (Founded by Bug7139) Do Long edge travel. Hold mist to go into the wall. Once there you need to determine how many taps with the bat it will take till you switch screens. You want at least 3. 5 is better though. note that a single room edge travel is 85HR's. Let me detail the method with 5 taps. if you would switch screens at the 5th tap then you need to revert to alucard from bat between the 4th and 5th tap. you must still be in motion when the bat is reverted because it has to be between the 2 taps. you *cant* "tap" morph "tap" it just doesnt work. what you are doing is forcing the revert to alucard animation to change the screens for you. we all know from doing ceiling flickers that doing a revert when in a corner from bat pushes alucard up a tiny bit. the revert pushes you into the next screen and up a tiny bit. just enough to get the ceiling room. There is no need for a jump, just like a ceiling flicker. just need the motion from the revert. The timing is so crazy i had to do most of these from the emulator just to keep my sanity. I have done 3 now on the emulator. Very Time consuming but it does work. *************** CEILING CATCHES *************** These are the absolute hardest techs to do. There are a couple different ways to do a Ceiling catch. Each way is used in different area's. Basically its a method to go from the ceiling or side of one room, fall through it and land on top of the next room below it. *note* while in mist form hold up and the direction that you wish to end up facing when get to the next room* Heart Refresh Drop Tech (HRDT) 2 Variations (100%success rate) #1 While falling down the side of a room, once you are near the bottom use a DHR chain till the top of your cape is about 1cm from the floor or 1-2 HR's from the bottom. Then hold mist and up+direction as the last HR is going off to grab the ceiling below you #2 While falling through a save room use a DHR chain to slowly fall down the side (make sure you can see alucards cape) When alucard gets about half way down he tends to disappear because of the wall. At the time Alucard disappears do another 12 HR's then hold up+direction and mist on the last HR to grab the ceiling below the save room 6 tap mist to mist drop tech While in mist form tap the mist button 6 times in sequence so that you would end up reverting back to mist on the 6th press of the button. It's best to test this method out in the open so you can get the timing down. You will be as mist, then back to alucard, slip a bit down the screen and then back to mist again. 3 tap mist mash Press mist to start reverting to alucard now guestimate about the time it would take alucard to start to fall down the side of the screen and immedietly press mist 3 times fast. Held Mist Simply press and hold mist as the screen switches to the next (very limited use) Mist U-Turn Be in mist form as you move from one room to the next that would drop you to the room below and sometimes the mist grabs it. (limited use) Bounce Ceiling catch (BCC) When you are in a bounce, it is possible to catch a ceiling below your starting point, much like a drop tech. Use the bounce to menuever yourself close to the edge of the room, (by simply pressing the D-pad). Once you are close to the edge, cast a HR IN THE LOWER ROOM. Then press up and the direction the ceiling is, plus mist. (limited use) ****************** CEILING TECHNIQUES ****************** Ceiling Flicker Heart Refresh (CFHR) When on a ceiling and near a doorway in bat form, inch your way to the edge of the doorway and go into your menu. Hold the bat button and press start to get back to the game. When you return to the game you shud start to revert to alucard but get stuck in a screen flicker between the 2 rooms on either side of the doorway. Hit a HR button fast until it goes off. Continue Switching the HR buttons for 8 HR's total then hold jump and hit the last HR button again to jump and start a 2nd chain of 8HR's then hold up and the direction of the room your in and hold mist to regrab the ceiling. This will obtain both rooms on both sides of the doorway. Corner Jump Double Heart Refresh When on a ceiling in the corner and you want to get the corner of this ceiling be in the corner as mist. Hit the mist button to start to revert and quickly slam on a HR. As this is going off hold the jump button and slam on the *same* HR button to make alucard jump and HR towards the corner. Continue a HR chain for 16HR's and then hold up + away from the corner and mist to grab the ceiling again. This will open one room in the upper corner and the room to the side of the corner. Use the regrab when you can it saves time. Corner Turn-Around Jump Double Heart Refresh (CTJDHR) This tech is used to aquire the rooms directly above you when you are sitting at the top corner of a ceiling. Be in the corner in mist form. (Do not hold any direction) Press mist to revert to alucard and slam on the HR button. Now hold away from the wall slam on the same HR button again (this turns you around). Now hold jump and slam on the same HR button again. Now starts your chain of HR's, Keep Switching HR buttons for 25 HR's. You can regrab the ceiling after the 25th HR Ceiling Flicker Heart Refresh to Jump Double Heart Refresh (CFHR~JDHR) *Also Commonly known as Upper Side rooms* This hard technique is used mainly for getting some side rooms that when you would use the CFHR you get pushed out the side of the other room. Its easiest to explain this in a place where its used. Inverted castle Reverse caverns from the save room near the octopus room in the long shaft leading to the lakes. DHR into this save room and when you land turn to bat. Exit right and fall all the way this shaft to the hallway below (has nova skeletons and others in there) change to mist and fly to the far left side till you are near the edge of the screen. Turn back to bat and inch close to the side. Do the CFHR and make sure you get the HR off in the left screen. Hold jump and slam on the same HR button again so that you get the JDHR in the right screen. As you climb up the screen about 8-10 HR and you think you are fairly high up slam on a single HR button so that you end up switchin screens and start another HR chain in the left screen. You shud contine to rise up and end high enough that it gives you the room. This is a very Hard technique and is probably one of the hardest ones. Death Jump tech (Dual founders- Migthgreen/Morgoth) This tech allows you to obtain any ceiling room while flying in an open area. First off you need to be down to 1 life, and have life apples in your inventory. Fly to the open ceiling as high up as you can. Equip a toadstool into your left hand. Revert from bat and keep tossing mushrooms till you start to fall (only fall the slightest bit). Enter your menu and turn on the fairy. The instant you return to the game do a diagional gravity jump towards the direction you were facing. BUT the instant you start to gravity jump turn into bat to make the bat fly at the angle. You cannot catch the mushroom in a gravity jump, you need to catch it as bat or you just fly through it. If you managed to catch the mushroom you will die and your body flies up the screen near the top. The fairy will resurrect you. As she is resurrecting you start slamming on the start button to get into your menu as fast as you can without falling down the screen any. Switch the toadstool with the Heart Refresh and get ready to exit the menu. Exit the menu and slam on the jump button. As soon as you hear/see alucard jump press the left HR button and hold onto the jump button. Start your HR chain for a while (i do like 30 HR's just to be sure) you will jump up and out of the screen slowly and obtain the ceiling room. This can also be done for corner rooms just you need to hold the direction of the corner when you do your jump. ************* FLOOR ESCAPES ************* Divekick Slide Double Heart Refresh Edge Tech (DKSDHR) This tech uses the same basis as the Edge travel, but this is used when under a floor and need a way out, Be aware that you need to have a jump available to make this tech work. (you will know you have a jump when alucard moves faster when under a floor This method was mostly used to get out of the lakes in the caverns and a few other spots. From under the floor, make your way to the edge of the screen that you need to make the "shift line". Move away from the side of the screen so that the screen moves 2-3 inches from the side. You need to have a jump available now. Jump once to get into position to start the dive kick. Press down+towards the wall and jump to start the Divekick, once you hear the divekick go off press a HR button and start a chain of HR's depending on how close you are to the wall you will need between 10-14HR's. We used 14HR's to get out from the bottom of the lakes. I will provide exact places to start the slide from when its written in detail during the walkthrough. Once the last HR is done just let alucard go and once you give him a second to stop sliding. Once stopped turn into bat and fly up and out. Restricted Movement Edge Tech Escape (Founded by Richard) This tech is used for opening a shift line while under restricted movement mode (no jump available to use a DKSDHR to exit a floor) While under a floor Move the edge of your screen 1 inch or so away from the doorway. Press towards the door and jump and HR at the same time. Continue for a chain of 30 HR's and hold bat as the last HR is going off. This will cause alucard to shift the screen and move over just enough to open up the shift line. Move to the doorway as bat and inch forward till you move into the shift line then go up and exit. This tech is used to aquire 3 rooms. 2 in inverted library and 1 in the right lake. Air Back (AB) (Founded by bug7139) Try this on regular floor first to see what is going on. It works either place with the same effect. Equip the Zweihander, Jump into the air and do the back-forward attack special move to have alucard thrust in the air. During the thrusting motion, press start to get into your menu. Equip the Library card and then press and hold the button that will use the card. Press start to return to the game and alucard will use the library card in midair!. The same effect works under a floor but the thrusting motion is much faster so you need to have lighting reflexes. My suggestion is once under the floor and you have the rooms you want turn to wolf. press wolf again to start the revert to alucard as the revert is happening press back then forward+attack just as the transform is complete to have alucard thrust nearly 50% of the time then just be fast to get the library card on and used. Morgoth suggests that once you do the forward+attack switch to the card right away and attempt to use it. The reason for this is if you try to "hear" the thrust before you switch to the library card then you will be to late. This is mostly used to gather the last couple rooms from unescapable floors. ------------------- OBSOLETE TECHNIQUES ------------------- Bounce Double Heart Refresh (BDHR) (Obsolete) By using the stopwatch to stop enemies in there tracks, you can fly above them as bat and then revert to alucard and divekick them to bounce off them. Follow this up with a jump and a DHR chain to grab them really out of place high ceilings in the keep and the far left belltower. Slide Double Heart Refresh (SDHR) (Obsolete) This tech allows you to exit some of the unsavable rooms by sliding out and DHR'ing so that you slip out the wall. The room you are exiting must have a room beside it and a room below that room. DHR into a room and HR whatever floor you need (be aware you cannot morph or you will mess up the exit). Get Near your exit point and jump once, this will drop Alucard down a bit but he is still floating. Now do a Dive kick towards the exit and just before you would exit the screen start a DHR chain of 12-14 HR's while holding the direction you want to escape. After you stop HR'ing you shud pop right out the side of the wall. Sink Tech (NOT LEGIT. aka cheating) By using the DHR tech you can sink down past rooms or deeper into the floor of a room for each 36HR's you will sink past 1 complete room. you could technically sink forever and get any amount of rooms but this we would consider cheating. If you use a short sink to get past a room or to bypass a section thats causing you to bounce, or a barrier (clock tower/olrox) this would be alright. ----------------------------- NON ROOM OBTAINING TECHNIQUES ----------------------------- Max Money trick Required Items/skills -Sword Familiar -Gem of any type (Diamond is best choice) -Enough mana to cast sword brothers spell (50 MP) Sword Brothers spell: Enable The Sword Card Familiar Press the Directional Pad D, DF, F, UF, U(hold UP 2 seconds) D + Attack HOW TO MAX OUT YOUR MONEY Make your way to the Librarians room. Stand near him, but not so you enter his menu's. Cast the sword brothers spell. As the sword starts to spin, Walk towards the librarian and enter his menu's. Sell off all but 1 of any single gem. Press start to enter into alucards menu while still in the librarian menu's. (Casting of the sword brothers spell allowed you to enter your menu's while in the librarian's menu's) Have Alucard equip the last gem of the chosen type. Return to the librarian's menu's and sell the last gem to the librarian. Since the gem was removed and you sold something you didnt have for sale, The game drops the count of that gem to 255. Sell off extra gems to max out your money. I suggest using the diamond to get your money the fastest. Axlord Armor Escape Use a Library card and watch for the beam of light to come onto the screen. As soon as the light comes on quickly go into your menu's and equip the axlord armor and then return to the game. Now go back into the menu's again fast and unequip the armor. Return to the game. You now have full control over Alucard for a few seconds before the library card finishes. Save/Reset Glitch *Backup your save file on a different memory card because this glitch has the possibility to corrupt your memory card. Use with caution. Ive never had my memory card corrupt using this but it COULD happen.* Start inside of a save room. Be near the saving sphere and cast the sword brothers spell. As the sword starts to spin, move under the saving sphere and press up to start the saving process. As the coffin starts to spin showing that its saving, Press start to go into your menu's. Equip the Axlord armor and let the game save. Reset your game and reload the same save game file. Once you re-load the game and return to play your map will be a complete mess and the bosses are back and any items found on the ground have also returned. You can collect them again and kill bosses again and open more rooms. The thing you sacrifice to do this is your map. Your map will be a complete mess. Fairy's Gift (founded by paulo1179) Any item the Fairy can use can be increased to 255 in your inventory with this little trick. I will use the "potion" item to describe the trick. You can exchange it with any other item the fairy uses that alucard can also use. Some items the fairy uses cannot be used by alucard (hammer, life apple etc) Have only 1 of the item you wish to increase to 255. You need to make the fairy use the item on alucard. So with the potion you need to drop your life down below 100 (be sure you have no high potions). The fairy will spin around before she uses the item on you. When she is spining to use the item on you, go into your menu and equip the item. The fairy will use the item on you. Go into your inventory and see that the number of potions has changed to 255. This happens because she tried to use an item that was not there or was moved mid usage and thus the game does the math 0 minus 1 makes 255 (0=256 according to the game) This is the same effect as the sword familiar and librarian trick just done with the fairy. This can be used with resist type potions too by being afflicted with the negative status effect multiple times in a row will cause the fairy to use a resist type potion on you. Its harder to do but it does work according to paulo1179. -------------------------- UNIQUE OR DIFFICULT AREA'S -------------------------- -------------- REGULAR CASTLE -------------- *ENTRANCE* At the entrance gate there is a small ledge you can stand on thats above the doorway, stand here and jump out to the right. When you can just see the top of the gate start a DKDHR towards the gate, when you reach the gate and start sliding down it below the screen give it a couple more hr's to get past the gate. Stop and fall to the other side. *Marble Gallery* Take the upper exit of the clock room and use the Wall grab on the right wall to get the 4 rooms up here *Clock Tower* From Karusuman's room go right past the 3 empty rooms. At the last empty room DHR out the doorway. Be sure that you stop DHR when alucard is fully under the doorway and hold mist. Stop HR'ing when you fall through you will be stuck in a small hole as mist. (spikes around it looks like but there not spikes) Just fly left and out into the open use grav jump +JDHR to get the 3 upper rooms here *3 Rooms* Now while still in this open area go to the upper right wall close to the ceiling, use either a grav jump or maybe a normal jump works. Use the DHRJ tech to get onto the ceiling and fly right. When near the end go up to get to the area above the lone cloaked knight room. Fly around this area and HR all the sides and the floor on the right and the right corner. Use grav jumps with DHR to get the 3 upper rooms and then go near the cloaked knight. Move him up the screen so you can BDHR off him to gather the other 4 upper rooms *Castle Keep* Hit the switch near where you fight richter that opens the wooden stairway leading up. Go up the first slope to the 2nd one this is the slope to WG (start half way up the first slope) *a easy way to get into this slope is to start your run but jump early so that when you land your jump you will be higher on the slope, just hit the wolf button to revert the instant you would hit the slope* You can also use the DKDHR from the hole above the stairway to have the same effect. When you get stuck under the slope dont use wolf instead turn to mist you will fall down and the background will go black. Fly all around to open up what rooms you can. Be sure to HR both sides of the this area from top to bottom. Use the grav DJDHR to get the 5 right side upper "half rooms" Then go to the far bottom left of the keep and go to the right wall. Get a flea rider to follow you and use him to BDHR to get the other 7 upper "half rooms" or use the Death jump Tech to get them. WG the slope again and turn to mist. Now turn back to alucard and walk all the way right till you hit an invisible barrier, do 2 gravity jumps then turn into mist. Go up and right into a room and get pushed all up the screen and a *half room* will appear at the top of your map. Continue to hold up and right and you shud move atop the screen without seeing mist for about 3-4 seconds this will open a total of *2 rooms* 2 invisible rooms (both above half rooms) *Royal Chapel* Use the Sword Brothers Glitch to get outside the easiest. You will need to use everything out here. Death jumps, grav jump DHR, djdhr, pretty much everything is used out here. Good place to gather a lot of rooms fast *Caverns* DHR into the first save room. HR the floor and the right corner *2 Rooms* now head to the left side of the room and change to mist. Go out the door and hold up and right to catch the ceiling below. Fly right and use the CFHR on the first doorway to the right *2 Rooms* continue right to the next room and go to the upper right corner. Use the CJDHR then fall down the shaft and HR the side. *4 Rooms* Quickly get back into mist to catch the next ceiling (if you dont catch it go back and restart). Go to the upper right corner use the CJDHR *2 Rooms* Regrab if you can and then drop for another ceiling catch below to the succabus tele room. Turn to bat and move as close as you can to the right side, but not so close that you would be loaded to the succabus battle. You need to be one step back. Revert to alucard and press right+HR, start a double heart refresh chain and continue to tap right as you slide down the screen. With some practice and timing and luck you can HR the side room without getting loaded as the DHR will slide you down past it. *1 Room* Take the entrace to the area that eventually leads to the Succubus. DHR into this room go left to fall down the long corridor. HR the whole side as you go down and end up in the save room. *6 Rooms* Go back up and DHR into that floor again this time move over 1 spot and refil magic. Exit left and start to fall down the corridor, as you near the bottom start a DHR chain and use the DHR ceiling catch to get on top of the save room, Move right and CJDHR the side of the save room *2 Rooms* and do a 2nd Ceiling catch to land on the next ceiling. Fly all the way right and CJDHR the far right room. *this is widely known as the double scyla drop* its extremely hard as there are 2 Ceiling catches involved. *2 Rooms* (note that since edge travel has been found the 2nd drop can now be done seperately. Those just started glitching now have it pretty easy. These rooms are the hardest without edge travel) From the save room listed above go out and down take the next room to the right. (leads to the scyla area) DHR into this room and HR the entire floor and WSHR the right side room *8 Rooms* Move back to the doorway that you came into this area from. (You fought scyla wurm here) stand under here and change to mist and go left. This will drop you onto the ceiling of the right lake. Fly all the way right till you reach the first doorway. CFHR both sides here *2 Rooms* (you may need to do these seperatly as MP is scarce by now) Either regrab or come back to this part past the doorway and continue right. CFHR the next doorway on both sides *2 Rooms* Continue flying right till you are in the right corner. Use the CJDHR to get the right side and right corner *2 rooms* fall to the floor and start the HR's again to gather the whole lake here and use the restricted movement edge travel floor escape to get out of here. *Catacombs* Walk into the CDLR linking catacombs to the abandon mine. DHR towards the catacombs. When you start the 2nd HR press towards the CDLR so that alucard is facing inwards. Keep holding this direction and continue to dhr till alucard is half way through the floor. Now hold mist and down+right this shud bounce you below the cdlr but on top of the room below it. Keep down+right held and continue flying as mist till the room above you is black. (so that you dont load yourself into the mines) Now turn back to alucard and jump+hr to get the next 2 ceilings. Now walk to the far right wall, start a DJDHR chain towards the right wall. Let yourself DHR for a while so that you get the upper corner and slide down the wall far enough to get the room to the right. *3 Rooms* (note that with edge travel tech you can skip the difficult entrace path and simply ET the right doorway and get on the ceiling) To get on top of the save room at the beginning of the catacombs you need to start under the CDLR for the EWG tech. Once in the wall at the doorway you need to turn to bat and move up 3 times so you are right under the ceiling. From here turn to alucard and do a diagional Gravity jump to the left and once the screen switches to the new room you need to hit the bat button to catch the ceiling. Very hard to do this. *Olrox's Quarters* Go to the warp room and go up the large corridor to the zombie room above. Stand to the right of the hole you come up from and turn to wolf. run over the hole and run far to the left. Go over a tiny slope and WG the bigger one, HR the rooms below you. These are the only rooms where you need to use wolf glitch to get to. Past WG rooms are now obtainable easier with new methods this one is still the exception. Go to the zombie room just above the warp room in this area. (above the long verticle shaft) There is a small hole here. What you need to do here is do a double jump towards the hole and fall into it. (the farthest right side) Just before you would switch screens you need to do a DKDHR. (diagional dive kick double heart Refresh) You must make sure that alucard ends up under the screen within 2 HR's or you arent deep enough. Takes a lot of tries. when you got it start double Heart refreshing for 3 minutes. When you stop you shud be stuck in a bounce between zombie room and the verticle shaft, but you are outside it. So HR in the zombie room and start a DHR chain to bypass the bounce. Use single HR's all the way down the right side of the shaft. You will end up landing on top of the CDLR leading to the warp room. DJDHR to the upper right to get the room above the warp room *7 Rooms* In the large open area with the fountain go to the lower left exit. kill the valhalla knights and do an EWG on the left doorway. Once in the wall as mist you will need to change to bat and tap in a couple times without switching to the new screen (you will need to find a starting spot and figure out how many taps it takes before you switch screens as you want to be 1 tap from switching before continuing on. This will take multiple tries to get this room so get this part figured out right away) change to alucard and do a gravity jump upwards. Once you start to go up do the axlord armor switch to gain and jump and start to fall down. Just before you would switch rooms/right at the doorway jump and do single HR's till you switch screens. hopefully your HR went off while you were still in the ceiling and you can now start a HR chain into the ceiling. *Alchemy Laboratory* Start from the chapel/lab CDLR load from lab and then DHR out of the CDLR to the lab side. HR the floor below and go right, HR the next 2 floors *3 Rooms* leave this room and fall down to the save room. DHR into the save room and get the room below and get the room to the lower right corner and WSHR the left side room. *3 Rooms* Exit this room to the right to fall down to the next room. HR the floor here and the lower right corner. Then go right for 2 more rooms to HR. *4 Rooms* Go right again to fall to another room, HR the lower left corner and the floor below you *2 Rooms* now go right. If you can catch this next ceiling with mist good if not just land in the room and DHR into it. Either way HR the floor, the lower left and WSHR or if you caught the ceiling HR the side room. *3 Rooms* Now to exit this room you need to be careful. Use bat and WS out this room or you will fall down to an unescapable room. Head back to the boss room and DHR out of this room through the bottom right exit to the next room. HR the *2 rooms* here and go right to the next room HR *2 rooms* here then exit through the right to the elevator shaft. (you may get stuck in a room here but you can get back to sliding down the wall by DHR towards the wall and starting the chain again.) Fall down and HR the side *1 Room* Let alucard fall into the little hole in the wall that is just above the single room in the elvator shaft. When at this point turn to mist and fly into the blackness that leads on top of the small room. Move to the left corner and use the CJDHR to get the upper corner and the left side room, fall to the floor and HR the floor here, the lower left corner *4 rooms* Exit this room and start to slide down the elevator shaft while HR'ing the side till you fall out the bottom *1 Room* *Abandon Mine* Go to the room opposite side of the warp room and DHR into this far left room. HR the 2 floors, lower left corner and WSHR the left side room *4 Rooms* Go right to the next room, HR this floor then go left and fall down the shaft. HR the sides as you fall down *3 rooms*(be sure to change to bat or mist to catch the ceiling below. You can just re-do the drop and use the bat to drop the whole way to guarentee to get on this ceiling) When on this ceiling move left and revert to alucard, CJDHR here and then before you would hit the floor here start a DHR chain and hold lower left. You need to sink about 5-6 HR's into the floor to get the lower left room. if you dont use a DHR chain to sink down this way you will get loaded into the catcombs (its weird that it would load you as you aren't at the catcombs yet but it does load you for some reason.) *3 Rooms* *Maria Meeting Room below the clockroom* There are 2 ways to get outside this area. - DKDHR down the opening hole for 105HR's (exactly) - Use wall grabs at the bottom sides Beware that the middle of the right side wall has a loading area that will crash your game out. Use a short sink to get the room and use a longer sink to get past it if you need. also note that if you are in a shift line you are out side of this loading spot so using the DKSDHR ET will get you past it. you will also need the DKSDHR ET to get out of this area anyway --------------- INVERTED CASTLE --------------- *Reverse Clock Tower* Only note for this area is to use the djdhr tech to move over any barriers that may block your path on the ceilings *Reverse Castle keep* Use DHR tech to exit somewhere at the bottom of the keep and fly right. Fly up a bit and find the large wall that you will come to. Fly to the right side of it and revert to alucard and do 2 grav jumps up. (dont do any more then 2) Let him fall down and he will land on a "Perch" from here turn to bat and fly up out of the screen. Go midway up the screen and go left you will fall down the wall and end up below it from here turn to mist and move to the bottom right into a room (cant see its there but you fly into it) the screen will flicker (continue to hold down and right) and you will be pushed out the bottom. Check your map you now have a *half room* still counts as a full room but only shows a half on your map, you will also open a invisible room below the half room also. Its odd but does work. *2 Rooms* *Anti Chapel* From the CDLR linking Anti-chapel with Necro lab. Come into the CDLR from anti-chapel. Start a DHR towards the anti-chapel but as you start DHR'ing turn and face into the CDLR and hold that direction. keep DHR till alucard is completly under the floor then let him drop, he will be stuck in a bounce between CDLR and the grand stairway. Turn into bat to get control of him in the CDLR and go down as bat into the room below. This shud pop you into a large open area fly all around here and gather the rooms and HR the left side wall fall down to the bottom left. *15 Rooms* When at the bottom left turn into bat move right to he bottom of the floor and do a WS to the lower left if done correctly you will slip under the room and end up in the next room. Which for some reason is walkable. DJDHR the ceilings as you go left towards the CDLR and DJDHR the room above the CDLR too *4 Rooms* DHR into the upper right save room. Hold right and let alucard bounce till he lands on a small perch under the save room. Use the clock subweapon then turn to bat and a do a wingsmash to the right wall. When you hit the right wall hold up and right to move up into the save room. Continue to hold up and right and slam on both heart refresh buttons till you land a HR in the save room. This will give you the room to the right of the save room. (1 Room) **thanks to pelonso for finding this room** *REVERSE ABANDON MINE* Use the EWG in the double room below the save room to get 2 rooms in the middle of the verticle shaft with the big lions heads. There is a upper side room in the secret demon switch room. Its a slow flicker and is pretty easy to get. *REVERSE CAVERNS* Only Hard room here is the Upperside room in the corridor leading to the reverse succabus room. *Reverse Colosseum* From the CDLR linking Deathwings lair and Reverse Colosseum, DHR out into the colosseum. HR the floor here then go back under the CDLR to HR that floor too then exit the CDLR and go right. HR all the rooms till you get stuck at the barrier *4 Rooms* do a small 5 DHR chain to bypass the barrier and fall down to the next room. HR the lower left room and the floor your on and move right HR the last floor here and then continue right. *3 rooms* Stay as alucard and go right. You will get stuck in a bounce just keep holding right and you will eventually fall down the hole and are free. If you do anthing else but hold right you will fall down the next room and be stuck. Go back up this tiny hole and go to the next door to the right. Go through the door and then turn around and DHR back into the room you came from. HR the floor *1 Room* then move left again you will be caught in that bounce, this time hold left and you will move your way back to that hole and fall free. Again dont use anything but holding left or you will get stuck. *new note* if you get stuck in the rooms below there is now an exit method. Use either the DKSDHR or the restricted movement ET floor escape. *Reverse Entrance* Nothing really difficult in this area. Just a note that you can access the 3 extra "Underground garden" Rooms if you like by using edge travel at the first doorway and using a well timed wingsmash to slip under the bounce and land on top of the secret floor. There is a movie on this on my site. it explains it with good detail *Necromancy Laboratory* Go to the CDLR linking the lab with the entrance, DHR out of the CDLR into the lab this will drop you onto the save room. You need to catch the ceiling below the save room When you get this ceiling fly all the way left to the elevator shaft. Go to the upper left corner and fall all the way down HR'ing the sides as you go, when you land at the bottom HR the floor and the lower left corner. Move right into the next room HR the floor here then continue going right to fall out past the save room *10 Rooms* Make your way to the area where there are 2 secret breakable rooms (one above and one to the right side) DHR into the right side room and HR the floor, the lower right corner and the right side *3 Rooms* Exit left as alucard and as soon as you see yourself fall do a HR and hold mist to catch the ceiling below. Move to the far right and revert to alucard and HR the right side room *1 Room* As you slide down catch the ceiling here stay in mist and fly right till you reach the end of the screen. Change to bat and use the CFHR to get 2 ceiling rooms here *2 Rooms* then back to mist to move to the far right side of the screen. Use the CJDHR to get the upper right room and the right side room *2 Rooms* fall down and catch the ceiling in the save room. CJDHR the upper right corner here to get the corner and the side room *2 Rooms* fall to the floor of the save room and HR the floor, lower right room *2 Rooms* Exit this room as mist to fall down and catch the ceiling below you move right till you end up in the CDLR in here DJDHR above the CDLR and Both upper sides *3 Rooms* Go to the large 3x3 square room in the lab here. In the upper right area there is a small hole on the right side that leads down. Find this spot and move left till you are near a pillar. Just to the right of this pillar in the background is a statue with a sword. This is where you start the EWG going towards the right. be aware that to many HR's you knock you down the small hole. line up your screen properly and you will have room for about 85HR's instead of the normal 90. Things still work the same just with fewer HR's at the start. Once you do the EWG and go to the top of the screen as mist. when you switch to the new screen try and get a HR off as soon as you can. If you managed to get one off soon enough you will be able to get JDHR in and rise high enough to grab the upper room of this little corridor. This is very hard to do as the timing is critical. ive never managed to get it yet but a few people have done it. *Death Wings Lair* In the large open area with the fountain go to the lower right exit. kill the Karusuman's do an EWG on the right doorway. Do the same thing as above but come from the boss room to get the other ceiling in this corridor. *Black Marble Gallery* Dhr out of the CDLR (linking outer wall and black marble gallery) into marble gallery. From this floor do a DKSDHR Edge travel towards the CDLR. Once on the ceiling move all the way to the far right and do a Upperside tech to get this ceiling room at the far right to the left of the small room. ***keep note of the small room noted in the above paragraph is a room that will need a lot of manipulation for the next 2 rooms**** Just below this little room you need to use the Divekick version of the ET once you have the room shifted move into the doorway as bat. Move up a little bit so you are not in the doorway. Revert to alcard and do a gravity jump straight up. This will weirdly put you into a bounce but at the far right corner of the small room (is is unknown why it puts you there but it does). It takes about 20 seconds till you can get a HR off so get one off and grab the upper room with a HR in the top room. You may need to use a JDHR to get the room sometimes. Once you have that room get a HR off in the bottom room. As that HR is going off you need to hold right and jump and slam the *SAME* Hr button again. If it went off correctly you will see the screen move over a slight bit. Continue a DHR chain for 4 more HR's then hold upperright and mist to grab the ceiling. Fly right till your screen stops scrolling. Turn to bat and tap left till the screen scolls once. Then tap right again to line your self up so that you are at the point where you are exactly 1 screen back. (you know you are in the right spot when pressing left moves the screen and pressing right would put you back to the spot and any more presses of right would not scroll the screen) from this spot tap right 53 times. From this spot you can revert to alucard and start the upperside tech. This is a very difficult room because of the setup. *Shaft/Dracula Area* Use wall grabs on the sides of the main sections of this area to gain access to all the rooms. Beware that the middle of the left side of the main room has a loading spot to the dracula battle that you will need to sink into a couple HR's or sink past it to get the room. *Third outer wall* *notes on this area* Get to the third outer wall by going to the reverse succabus room, and DHR into this room. Turn to bat and go out the left side of the room, you will be loaded into a CDLR. Exit this CDLR to the right to be in the third outer wall. Its all glitched up but its an exact copy of the regular castle outer wall but its mapped out on the inverted castle map. Make your way up to the very top where there is a save room save you game and reset the system. When you reload the game the graphics will return to normal. You can enter a CDLR in this area but if you try to change area's through a CDLR you will be loaded back to the inverted castle outer wall. This will happen a few times to get all the rooms in this area so you will have to make your way back to the third outer wall a few times. --------------- GLITCHING LINGO --------------- CDLR- Cd load room Flicker- Rapid left/right screen movement between 2 screens Bounce- Rapid up/down Screen movement between a ceiling and a floor Slam- The act of pressing a certain button as fast as possible AXAE- Axlord armor escape. Using the armor to gain movement/jump Sinking- Using DHR to sink down the sides of the screen Drop tech- Old name for a ceiling catch. DHR- Universal word for using HR's one after the other. ----------------------- CREDITS AND LEGAL STUFF ----------------------- CREDITS Gamefaqs - For letting us use the message boards to keep contact, and hosting this faq Morgoth - Without him I wouldnt be doing this.
